BIOGRAPHY

The Slow Readers Club are a Manchester based Indie / Electro band who's output ranges from insanely catchy upbeat indie to angry, introspective downbeat ballads.

Their music has drawn comparisons with Interpol, The Killers and Arcade Fire. Their critically acclaimed debut album (released in May 2012) has had airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, NME, Q Radio and NME TV, Sky Sports, Soccer am and ITV amongst others.
Their sound is often described as cinematic and their music videos have received a lot of attention with one in particular being chosen to feature on Coldplay’s website back in 2012. This track was ‘Block Out The Sun’ and was taken from our debut album.

The Slow Readers Club continue to build a loyal fan base and more great music is on the way with a second album due in 2014.
"Awash with Doves-ish sweeping melancholy with splashes of The Chameleons and Ian Brown's solo work, the album's 12 tracks evoke the palpable sense of a band being suffocated by their surroundings, the bittersweet soundtrack of young men waiting for life to start broadcasting in technicolour"
